Whales are some of the largest and coolest marine mammals on Earth, found across all the world's oceans. There are two main types of whales: baleen whales, which use baleen plates to filter plankton from the water, and toothed whales, which have teeth to catch larger fish and marine life.

Whales are famous for their blowholes, which they use to breathe air, just like we use our noses. This helps them stay underwater for long periods before coming up for fresh air.

In the past, whales were heavily hunted for their blubber, teeth, and meat. Today, they are protected, and whale watching has become a popular way to enjoy these magnificent creatures without harming them.
